Tractor Run raises over €10k for Breast Care

The Fisherstown Tractor Run is an annual event that takes place on the first Sunday of July. This is organised by a committee that was set up by farmers from the local area and their goal is to raise funds for Cancer Care. Each year they choose a different cancer related charity and this year they chose to support the Breast Care Department in St James’s Hospital.

This years’ event took place on Sunday, 3rd of July with just under 200 tractors taking part. The total raised was an amazing €10,200.

Gary Kavanagh, Breast Care Manager, was present at the cheque presentation and said “I would like to thank all involved in the coordination of this fundraising event and also big thank you to those who supported the event. The funds raised will go towards improving the current Breast Care Department and therefore have a positive impact to the patients experience”
