The aim of Cancer Week Ireland is to raise public awareness about advances in the early detection and treatment of cancer through a programme of events with the participation of clinicians, scientists, allied health professionals and cancer survivorship experts, patients who experienced cancer and the general public.

 

St James’s Hospital’s Clinical Research Facility to host “Open House”

 

On Wednesday 16th September the Clinical Research Facility at St. James’s Hospital will be hosting an Open House with cancer researchers and clinicians based at St. James’s Hospital.  The open house starts with two St. James’s patients describing their cancer journeys and this will be followed by an opportunity to meet scientists and clinicians in the clinical research facility  in the areas of Gastrointestinal cancer, Prostate cancer, Radiation Therapy, Gynaecological cancer, Haematological cancers cancer related physiotherapy.
