Liberties Fun Run 2021
As you know, the 2021 Liberties Fun Run was due to take place on Wednesday, 1st of September. However; in light of the ongoing concerns around the Covid-19 Pandemic and the worrying rise in case numbers, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the physical road race this year.
We have spoken to the Gardai and to Dublin City Council but after exploring all other options including running the event in waves, the decision has been made to turn this years’ Liberties Fun Run in to a Virtual event.
We fully appreciate the disappointment that this news will bring, and we are devastated to make this announcement, however; I hope you understand that we have a responsibility to put the safety of all our participants, volunteers and families first.

Online Registration starts at €25 or it is Free if you fundraise. (Minimum fundraising target is €100) and all participants will receive a technical running top and souvenir medal.
All of the proceeds from the 2021 Liberties Fun Run will be used in the fight against Cancer at St James’s Hospital.
Did you know that there are over 40,000 people diagnosed with Cancer in Ireland each year? It is a massive number but behind each of these numbers is someone’s mother, father, sister or brother living with cancer.
St. James’s Hospital is the largest cancer centre in the country and we treat more cancers than any other hospital in Ireland. Many of these patients require chemotherapy at some point through their cancer journey. With your help, their journey can be safer and quicker.
This year, we are fundraising for Ireland’s first ever Chemotherapy Compounding Robot. This cutting-edge technology in the fight against cancer automates the process of preparing chemotherapy for patients, allowing greater and more consistent accuracy whilst freeing up staff to become more patient focused. Will you help us?
