Family Rooms

In 2016, St James’s Hospital developed four dedicated family rooms for patients and their families, providing them with a space where they can sit, and come to terms with critical news.

This was made possible through the generosity of many donors and supporters.  St James’s Hospital Foundation contributed the proceeds of the Liberties Fun Run 2014 (€30,000), towards the costs of developing the new family rooms.

The family rooms enable families to meet privately with doctors, to hear a patient’s prognosis or to consult with nurses on private matters or at times of distress.
