A joint initiative of the Foundation and Inclusion Health, we are delighted to announce the launch of our new library. You will find the bookcase on the main hospital concourse by the stage. The library is for the benefit for everyone – our patients, visitors and staff so please spread the word and feel to take a book!
Huge thanks to Roddy Doyle for so being so generous with his time and joining us recently to open the St James’s Hospital Foundation / Inclusion Health SJH bookcase and making it a such a special event. Roddy read from three of his works, including ‘The Woman Who Walked into Doors’, moving us from tears to laughter. The bookcase, a lovely resource for health and well-being, is open to all of our patients, visitors and staff. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to making the bookcase a reality, to everyone who donates books and everyone who makes use of this wonderful resource.
Inclusion Health at St James’s Hospital is the first hospital-based Inclusion Health (IH) team in the world. IH is an interdisciplinary approach to working with marginalised groups (homeless, substance misusers, prisoners, minority groups) who require enhanced approaches to meet their health needs effectively across all healthcare settings.
If you would like to donate books, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Books must be clean and in good condition.
