On Saturday 16th November, we were joined by almost 300 guests in Christ Church Cathedral to celebrate our Annual Gala Dinner in aid of our Gynae Cancer Care Appeal here at St. James’s Hospital. The event was a complete sell out with guests being entertained by the wonderfully talented Affinití and we are extremely grateful to everyone that joined us on the night or supported the event in some way.
This year’s gala was in aid of our GynaeCancerCare Appeal, one of our key appeals at St James’s Hospital Foundation.
St James’s Hospital treats 30% of all new gynaecological cancers arising in Irish women – approximately 1,200 per year. Gynaecological cancer, including ovarian cancer, accounts for more than one in eight cancers in women in Ireland. Early diagnosis is the key to improved survival.
Thanks so much to everyone who supported us on the night.
Your support will help us purchase equipment to improve diagnosis and surgical care, reduce the risks of surgery and will also fund the lymphoedema project.
Tables for next year’s event will be for sale shortly.
